Chateau Ste. Michelle Cabernet Sauvignon - Wine Review

Chateau Ste. Michelle Cabernet Sauvignon - Wine Review

In all of my experiences with Chateau Ste. Michelle I have come to expect solid, enjoyable wines with a strong balance and a reliable flavor, and this Vintage 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon is no exception to this rule. This wine is exactly what a Cab should be, with equal parts fruity flavor and a full body. At first glance, this wine is a deep red bordering on black. The aroma is rich and fruity, foreshadowing the delicious flavor to come. This wine has exceptionally strong legs, I had barely begun to swirl the glass when they started forming. The first sip hits both the nose and the palette with an intense flavor, satisfyingly dry and fruity all at once.

As I sipped this wine, I knew that I was drinking something that would leave me feeling full and satisfied, and I was not disappointed. Even much later, I still had the flavor of this wine on my tongue. If you enjoy red blends, Cabernet, Pinot Noir, or really, any red wine, I think you will find, as I have, that this is quite a treat. It would pair well with many meals, and would be suitable for anything from a fancy dinner to a casual afternoon spent with friends. You may find it to be a bit intense at first, but if you give it a chance, I think you will find this wine to be absolutely delectable.
