Clos du Bois Merlot - Wine Review Blurb

I was excited to try another wine from Clos du Bois after enjoying their Cabernet so much, and this 2017 Merlot was just as much of a treat. It is easy to fall in love with this wine at first glance, as you gaze into the deep rich red filling every inch of the glass, with no room for light to permeate it. The scent is quite robust and fruity. There is a plummy sweetness to it, but also an intoxicating depth. As it hits the tongue, it is at once fruity and dry, and the aftertaste burns into a dry sensation in the mouth. As I sipped a glass of this wine, it seemed to shift through Cab and Merlot tones, resulting in a delicious wine that I have already bought another bottle of.
