Beringer Pinot Noir - Wine Review

Beringer Pinot Noir - Wine Review

For my latest adventure with Beringer, I decided to try out a Pinot Noir, since I am yet to try one that I haven’t loved, and this 2018 Pinot Noir from Beringer is no exception. It is a very rich red, with a lighter glow throughout the whole glass. The scent is tart, with hints of cranberries, as well as a bit of plum. It has a slight burn to it, and is moderately tannic. Cherries and dark chocolate round out the scent.

At first sip, there is an instant bite to this wine. It is quite tart and strong for any wine, even for Pinot Noir, which can at times be quite intense. The flavor mellows out a bit as you sip it, but it is counterbalanced by an almost instant dry texture. It ends up leaving a pleasant burn which lingers along with the surprisingly fruity flavor.

I rarely have any complaints about any Pinot Noir, and this wine is no exception to that rule. If you like Pinot Noir, you will enjoy this wine, and if you’re interested in exploring the Beringer collection, this is an excellent choice.
