Erath Pinot Noir - Wine Review Blurb
As I was perusing the wine selection at Costco, looking for something new to try, this 2017 Oregon Pinot Noir from Erath caught my eye. I figured any bottle of Pinot Noir with a decent price tag and an unassuming label must be a quality wine that can be enjoyed in a relaxing setting. In the case of this Pinot, I was completely correct. This wine is a cheerful ruby red with brownish tones, giving it a subtle sense of muting throughout the glass. It has instant legs, I barely had to swirl the glass to see them form. The scent is extremely tart, like slightly burnt cherries and bitter berries. The flavor falls in line with the scent, at once tart and flavorful, reminding me of cherries, with a lingering burn. Overall, this is a classic Pinot, which I definitely intend to purchase again.
