Robert Mondavi Pinot Grigio - Wine Review

Robert Mondavi Pinot Grigio - Wine Review

The 2018 Robert Mondavi Private Selection Pinot Grigio is a classic Pinot Grigio, perfect for a special occasion, but equally excellent for any given day. Both full scented and full flavored, this wine is like an exquisite summer breeze, tasting it can turn any day into a sunny vacation. I am a fan of any good Pinot Grigio, and this one definitely makes my list of cheerful, joy-inducing wines.

This wine has a lovely complexion of golden honey and solid, moderately slow to form legs. Taking a whiff of this wine brings a refreshing mix of bright, floral, and citrus scents. I enjoy any Pinot Grigio that manages to be slightly tangy without leaning too far towards bitter, and this wine certainly fits the bill. The first sip of this wine leaves a light and exhilarating touch on the tongue, and after taking a few sips, you will notice a slightly tangy, fruity flavored aftertaste. This wine is ever so slightly acidic, but without pushing the boundary of a sweet Pinot Grigio too far.

If you are a fan of Pinot Grigio I recommend picking up a bottle of Robert Mondavi Pinot Grigio as soon as you can, and if you’re unsure about Pinot Grigio, this is the perfect wine for you to try out. This wine reminds me of all my favorite glasses of Pinot Grigio in the past, and I fully intend to pick up a few more bottles to enjoy in the warm summer evenings that are currently abundant in Alaska. As you may have seen in previous reviews, I am a big fan of red wines, but this white wine has certainly earned a place in my list of favorites.
