A friend of mine gifted ‘Tequila Mockingbird: Cocktails with a Literary Twist’ to me several years ago as I was working on my English degree, and it is definitely the perfect book for any book lover or aspiring mixologist. There is a solid amount of practical drink making advice in this book, as well as an abundance of witty lit-related humor. There are many, many drinks in this collection that I want to try some day, and I love flipping through the pages for inspiration when I am making cocktails, and when I simply want to read something short and have a good laugh. Tim Federle has given the world quite a treat in this collection of delicious drinks, literary references, and brilliant advice for anyone interested in the world of literary liquid courage.
